Wall Tent Internal Metal Frame
Idaho Canvas wall tent frames are available for many sizes. Our internal frames can made using 1 inch square aluminum tubing or 1" EMT steel, galvenized tubing. The 3/4" square steel corner fittings are inserted inside the 1" square or round tubing lengths at the eave and ridge junctures. Larger tent frame sizes should have double or triple cross supports for added stability. This frame is free standing, however, for maximum stability we recommend using the adjustable guy ropes and stakes provided on our wall tents.
To minimize the cost of the internal frame and to save on shipping costs, you may consider purchasing the corner angles only and source the steel from any local hardware store or electrical contractor supplier. We recommend using 1" EMT galvenized, steel, round, conduit which can be purchased at any electrical contractor supplier or hardware store such as Lowe's or Home Depot. Cut dimensions are provide below for specific tent sizes.
To set up your wall tent using an internal frame:
Lay out all the parts on the ground in the approximate location they will go. Construct the top half of the frame according to the picture above. Place tent over the constructed half of the frame. Make sure the door will open toward the direction you wish. Lift up one side of the frame and install the side legs, then lift the opposing side of the frame and install the remaining side legs. Pull down the walls of the tent to the ground. Secure guide ropes and tent to the ground with tent pegs. Wall Tent Frame Pricing
